Welcome to WWSTA

WWSTA is short for Wellington Wairarapa School Trustees Association.  We are a charitable  organisation established as a Governance support  service for School Boards in the Wellington Wairarapa Region. WWSTA is run by local trustees for local trustees. Our region extends from the  Ohau River in the North down to the  southern-most tip of the North Island and over to the Wairarapa, north to Mt Bruce.

When school Boards of Trustees join WWSTA they pay a regional subscription. This subscription enables boards to enjoy representational and service benefits, regional communications, trustee support networks (cluster groups) and regional support. Associate membership may be offered (at the discretion of the Management Team) to other educational bodies, and to individuals with a strong interest in trusteeship.

Regional support is provided through the WWSTA regional office, based in Petone.  The Executive officer is able to help with matters of general trustee concern. The regional office may be able to provide help with suggestions for policies, meeting procedures, trustee elections, co-option of trustees, appointments, and other trustee issues that arise.
